It’s always good to hear about somebody ‘turning to the green side’ and actively start promoting becoming a Vegan and it’s even extra special when it’s a well known, well loved and well celebrated celebrity! If you don’t already know, none other than Formula 1 racer Lewis Hamilton has announced via various media platforms that he is now turning to a Vegan diet and is on a personal mission to enlighten his fans to do the same also! It seems that unnecessary cruelty to animals and the long-term, ongoing damage to our environment is what has led him down the road to Veganism.
He said we quote “As the human race, what we are doing to the world... the pollution [in terms of emissions of global-warming gases] coming from the amount of cows that are being produced is incredible.
They say it is more than what we produce with our flights and our cars, which is kind of crazy to think. The cruelty is horrible and I don't necessarily want to support that and I want to live a healthier life”
Lewis goes on to say watching the MUST SEE ‘What The Health’ documentary which has EVERYONE talking right now, was another strong factor in helping his make this wise decision to cut out meat and all meat related products from his diet.
He said "When you watch this documentary and you see meat clogging up your arteries, you see all the stuff they put in the meat, stuff we are all eating, there is no way I am going to disregard that”
"I don't want in 10 or 20 years to have diabetes or catch any of that stuff,"
